Tibetan Patient (བོད་ཀྱི་ནད་པ། 西藏病人) is a Tibetan band founded in the early 2010s.[1] The members include Jigshed Jabb (འཇིགས་བྱེད་སྐྱབས། 久西傑), a poet and the lead singer and Wanma Dorje (པད་མ་རྡོ་རྗེ། 完麼多傑), the guitarist.[2][3] Jigshed Jabb is from Muqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province and Wanma Dorje is from Xinghai County, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province.[4][5]
The Tibetan Patient was invited by the Tibetan filmmaker, Pema Tseden, to write the theme song for his film Balloon and the song they wrote "The Praise of Spirit and Flesh" (ཤ་ཁྲག་གི་མཆོད་པ། 灵与肉的礼赞) was released on November 20, 2020 via NetEase Music. [6][7]

In 2023, their third album, Machu (རྨ་ཆུ། 瑪曲), was released, but the song, "Machu", was banned by the local government, saying that the song smeared their anti-poverty policy. In addition, many of their songs, including previous albums, were pulled off the shelves frequently.[14][15]
