Tilchivi is a small village of 218 hectares in Weir Tehsil in Bharatpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tilchivi depends on Nadbai, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Tilchivi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Tilchivi's pin code is 321601[4], and village code is 01058300. The area of Tilchivi is segregated as 106 hectares irrigated area, 50 hectares unirrigated, the 36 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 26 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Tilchivi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Tilchivi is a census village in the district of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 609 and has total administration over 78 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Tilchivi has 101 children, 50 boys and 51 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 291 (47.78%) males constitute 156 (25.62%) of the population and females 135 (22.17%).

The workforce is 151 male, 132 female with 111 (39.22%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 105 males and 6 females. 55 males and 3 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 11 males. 172 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nadbai and Bharatpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
