Tisai is a small village of 755 hectares in Gangdhar Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Tisai depends on Kolvi Mandi Rajendrapur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 130.12% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Tisai is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Tisai's pin code is 326514[4], and village code is 04128200. The area of Tisai is segregated as 168.22 hectares irrigated area, 163.49 hectares unirrigated, the 250.21 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 93.74 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Tisai has One post office (Tisai B.O) and One public telephone. Tisai has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Tisai is a census village in the district of Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2005 and has total administration over 371 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Tisai has 289 children, 162 boys and 127 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 298 (14.86%) males constitute 157 (7.83%) of the population and females 141 (7.03%).

The workforce is 627 male, 466 female with 800 (73.19%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 545 males and 255 females. 385 males and 136 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 98 male and 74 female agricultural labor. 293 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kolvi Mandi Rajendrapur and Jhalawar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
