Todiyana is a small village of 1923 hectares in Bhopalgarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Todiyana depends on Pipar City, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Todiyana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Todiyana's pin code is 342901[4], and village code is 01947400. The area of Todiyana is segregated as 147.47 hectares irrigated area, 1315 hectares unirrigated, the 66.25 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 394 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Todiyana has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Todiyana is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1190 and has total administration over 215 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Todiyana has 186 children, 99 boys and 87 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 472 (39.66%) males constitute 238 (20.0%) of the population and females 234 (19.66%).

The workforce is 305 male, 287 female with 557 (94.09%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 291 males and 266 females. 247 males and 229 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 33 male and 29 female agricultural labor. 35 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pipar City and Jodhpur to sell ghee and make their living.
