Tomomi Nishikubo (23 May 1992 in Japan) is a Trials, Downhill, Freeride athlete and social media star known for posting narrative-led street trials videos.
Tomomi started riding motocross at the age of five. Always chasing his father in the mountains, he soon transferred those skills to biking. He just rode a cheap Walmart bike to ride like a motocross. Soon he moved into Trial. [1]
He was given his first pure trials bike at age 12 and learned to ride tricks on it by watching online videos by the likes of Fabio Wibmer and Danny MacAskill.[2]
2013 he competed in the UCI Trials World Championships in South Africa and finished 25th. In 2016 and 2017 he won the Japanese Trials National Championships. After that, Tomomi transferred from pure trials to street trials.[3]
Using his trials skills, Tomomi is now producing popular content across his social channels (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Twitter) that inspire millions of people: "Ride to survive" has over 3 million views on YouTube. [4] 2020 and 2021 saw the release of several YouTube vlogs and a few video projects like: "Pentathlon Challenge" or "The Matrix Trails vs Parkour". [5] He is known to approache obstacles in a unique way that never ceases to amaze.[6]
