Udat is a small village of 7581 hectares in Phalodi Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Udat depends on Phalodi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Udat is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Udat's pin code is 342307[4], and village code is 01912400. The area of Udat is segregated as 2083.48 hectares unirrigated, the 5084 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 414 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Udat has One post office (Udat B.O) and One public telephone. Udat has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Udat is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2283 and has total administration over 406 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Udat has 500 children, 250 boys and 250 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 699 (30.62%) males constitute 375 (16.43%) of the population and females 324 (14.19%).

The workforce is 611 male, 423 female with 626 (60.54%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 515 males and 111 females. 283 males and 55 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 190 male and 47 female agricultural labor. 408 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Phalodi and Jodhpur to sell blanket and make their living.
