Umari is a small village of 769 hectares in Auraiya Tehsil in Auraiya district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Umari depends on Dibiyapur (NP) , the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers,Two canals and Two springs. Umari is also surrounded byTwo lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Umari's pin code is 206244[4], and village code is 04147900. The area of Umari is segregated as 419 hectares irrigated area, 25 hectares unirrigated area. the 158 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 145 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Umari has Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Umari has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Umari is a census village in the district of Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 7382 and has total administration over 1288 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Umari has 1151 children, 613 boys and 538 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1976 (26.77%) males constitute 1047 (14.18%) of the population and females 929 (12.58%).

The workforce is 1930 male, 625 female with 2104 (82.35%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1764 males and 340 females. 897 males and 48 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 444 male and 251 female agricultural labor. 451 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dibiyapur (NP) and Auraiya to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
