Umari is a small village of 195 hectares in Nawabganj Tehsil in Barabanki district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Umari depends on Dewa (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Umari's pin code is 225301[4], and village code is 05752900.

Umari has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Umari is a census village in the district of Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 920 and has total administration over 152 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Umari has 178 children, 103 boys and 75 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 115 (12.50%) males constitute 66 (7.17%) of the population and females 49 (5.33%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dewa (NP) and Barabanki to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
