Uniqode, formerly Beaconstac, is an American digital technology company offering QR Code lifecycle management and analytics solutions to worldwide businesses.[1]

History[edit]

The company was established as Beaconstac in 2019 by co-founders Sharat Potharaju and Ravi Pratap to develop digital connections with physical objects and places. The company is headquartered in New York, the United States, and Bangalore, India.[2]

In January 2023, the company raised $25 million in its Series A funding round led by Telescope Partners and Accel Partners.[3]

In January 2024, the company rebranded its name from Beaconstac to Uniqode to reflect its QR code technology.[4]

Since its inception, the company has created and managed QR codes for over 50,000 businesses across the retail, hospitality, e-commerce, consumer goods, and real estate industries in 40 countries. Notable clients include Pepsi, Nestle, Lionsgate, Marriott, Flipkart, Deloitte Digital, Revlon, Amazon, Toyota, WWF, and The New York Times.[5]

Uniqode is the highest-rated QR code generated on G2. It ranked as Best Usability, Momentum Leader, and EMEA and Asia Pacific SaaS Leader in 2024.[6]

Uniqode allows businesses to integrate QR codes with customer relationship management and marketing automation tools such as custom forms, landing pages, websites, and restaurant menus. It primarily focuses on utilizing QR codes to enhance customer engagement by collecting feedback and data to improve their services, attract new customers, and retain existing ones.[7]

Uniqode also includes analytics features, allowing businesses to track the performance of their QR codes by analyzing scan data.
