Ushan is a small village of 1326 hectares in Nathdwara Tehsil in Rajsamand district, for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ushan depends on NATHDWARA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 6.86% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ushan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ushan's pin code is 313202[4], and village code is 03051100. The area of Ushan is segregated as 42 hectares irrigated area, 121.93 hectares unirrigated, the 836.03 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 326.12 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Ushan is a census village in the district of Rajsamand, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2173 and has total administration over 487 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Ushan has 364 children, 177 boys and 187 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 15 (0.69%) males constitute 9 (0.41%) of the population and females 6 (0.28%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1313 (60.42%) males constitute 658 (30.28%) of the population and females 655 (30.14%).

The workforce is 629 male, 645 female with 349 (27.39%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 299 males and 50 females. 89 males and 27 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 6 male and 3 female agricultural labor. 925 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of NATHDWARA and Rajsamand to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
