Van is a small village of 2571 hectares in Sheoganj Tehsil in Sirohi district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Van depends on SHEOGANJ, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 602.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Van is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Van's pin code is 307043[4], and village code is 02344200. The area of Van is segregated as 670 hectares irrigated area, 445 hectares unirrigated, the 109 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 637.53 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Van is a census village in the district of Sirohi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1038 and has total administration over 2035 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 292 (28.13%) males constitute 271 (26.11%) of the population and females 228 (21.97%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 120 (11.56%) males constitute 108 (10.40%) of the population and females 783 (75.43%).

The workforce is 309 male, 741 female with 515 (95.02%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 226 males and 388 females. 105 males and 182 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 95 male and 14 female agricultural labor. 27 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SHEOGANJ and Sirohi to sell woolan mets and make their living.
