Varni is a small village of 928 hectares in Ahore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Varni depends on JALOR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Varni is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Varni's pin code is 307029[4], and village code is 02280400. The area of Varni is segregated as 5 hectares irrigated area, 596 hectares unirrigated, the 95.72 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 231 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Varni has One post office (Sugalia Jodha B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Varni has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Varni is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 518 and has total administration over 100 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 72 (13.90%) males constitute 37 (7.14%) of the population and females 35 (6.76%).

The workforce is 151 male, 171 female with 273 (84.78%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 128 males and 145 females. 71 males and 96 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 29 male and 43 female agricultural labor. 49 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
