Vedia is a small village of 1805 hectares in Ahore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Vedia depends on JALOR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 70.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Vedia is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Vedia's pin code is 307029[4], and village code is 02281600. The area of Vedia is segregated as 88 hectares irrigated area, 1435.15 hectares unirrigated, the 118 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 74 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Vedia has One post office (Vedia B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Vedia has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Vedia is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1987 and has total administration over 361 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Vedia has 331 children, 162 boys and 169 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 538 (27.08%) males constitute 291 (14.65%) of the population and females 247 (12.43%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 356 (17.92%) males constitute 177 (8.91%) of the population and females 179 (9.01%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 1094 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 572 male, 522 female with 785 (71.76%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 519 males and 266 females. 285 males and 149 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 89 male and 82 female agricultural labor. 309 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
