Vishnu Nagar is a small village of 829 hectares in Sanchore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Vishnu Nagar depends on SANCHORE, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Vishnu Nagar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Vishnu Nagar's pin code is 343042[4], and village code is 02325100. The area of Vishnu Nagar is segregated as 673 hectares unirrigated, the 71 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 85 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SANCHORE and Jalor to sell ghee and make their living.
