Vitral (stained glass) is a Brazilian Manga series created and illustrated by Silvana de Alvarenga (Shirubana) that is part of Estúdio de Mangá. Vitral is published by HQM Editora since 2010 and will have 12 volumes.[1][2]
The Vitral storyline takes place in a city called Mekata in a distant country in Asia. Tsumi and Daiji live there, two young men who happened to meet on Christmas night. Tsumi wants to be a pop music star like his idol Muyami. Daiji, on the other hand, dreams of having a common life away from Muyami and runs away. Without imagining that Daiji is actually Muyami's son, Tsumi helps him, but in the escape something mysterious happens: the two are faced with a magnificent ghost window that shows a future of misfortune for both. So, Daiji and Tsumi have to fight so that the vision never happens, but they soon realize that it will not be easy because they are cursed by Stained Glass. Everything starts to go wrong for both, Daiji ends up spending more time in Mekata at the risk of being discovered and Tsumi faces the bankruptcy of his agency, headed by Midore. But the unexpected of everything is the deep feeling that Daiji and Tsumi start to have for each other that will change their lives forever.[3] [4]
The reception was very good. In "Impulso HQ", it was written that "The author uses an interesting narrative: at the end of the edition, she presents us with an extra, a secret event, something that occurred in the same period of the story told, but that only one character experienced and, apparently, does not insist that others know."[5]
