Yamina Peerzada is a Pakistani actress and puppeteer. She played a leading role in Haseena Moin's Anjaane Nagar (2013) and won Lux Style Award for Best TV Actress - Terrestrial for her performance in Roshni Andhera Roshni (2013). Her performance in Babar Javed's Roag (2011) earned her a nomination of Pakistan Media Award for Best Supporting Actress as well.
Peerzada was born into the family of Rafi Peer, and daughter of Sadaan Peerzada. She is the niece of actor Usman Peerzada.[1]
In 2017, she married to musician Jaffer Zaidi.[2]
Peerzada made her acting debut in 2009 with a side role in Usman Peerzada's directorial Rangeel Pur which aired on PTV Home.[3] In 2013, she played the protagonist role in Haseena Moin's Anjaane Nagar.[4] She received Lux Style Award for Best TV Actress - Terrestrial for her performance in Roshni Andhera Roshni.[5] In 2017, she played a role in Geo TV's drama Khan.[6]
As a granddaughter of Rafi Peer, she has taken forward the legacy of her grandfather and frequently works as a puppeteer in festivals and theatre puppet shows.[7][8][9]
