Erotic mnemonics

Mnemonics (w:en:Mnemonic) are a powerful way of aiding memory especially for abstract information such as numbers, lists or vocabulary. A common advice for creating effective mnemonics, or mental images, is to follow the following criteria^[1]:

• Exaggeration
• Unusual association (w:en:Von Restorff effect)
• Movement
• Emotional implication

However, a difficulty of using mnemonics is in coming up with a fitting image for your material. Therefore having a predefined framework might help. The purpose of this research project is to explore creating such a framework. A similar approach for learning numbers is the w:en:Mnemonic major system, providing words for each number from 0 to 99 based on a combination of consonants. Eroticism is a strong emotion and it often involves movement. This is to be used for the framework.
