Lymphatic drainage of face and scalp

The Face, mainly three groups of nodes:

1. pre-auricular(superficial parotid) into greater part of forehead,temple,lateral halves of eye,conjunctiva,cheek,parotid region.

2. sub-mandibular nodes to the central forehead, frontal sinus, medial halves of eyelids, nose with maxillary sinus, upper lip, lateral part of the lower lip, medial part of the cheek, the greater part of the lower jaw.

3. sub mental nodes to the central part of the lower lip, chin.

The Scalp:

1. anterior part except below centre of forehead to pre-auricular nodes.

2. posterior part to post auricular or mastoid group and occipital lymph nodes.
