Reticulum cells

From Wikiversity - Reading time: 2 min

The term “reticulum cells” is used to describe either stromal cells or reticuloendothelial cells, found particularly in lymph nodes, bone marrow and spleen. [1] Stromal cells produce connective tissue [2] while reticuloendothelial cells are phagocytic. Intermediate cells that are both phagocytic and produce connective tissue are also referred to as “reticuloendothelial cells”. [3]
