The Maryland Compensation of Sheriffs Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the November 5, 1946 ballot in Maryland as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure set guidelines for Sheriff salaries as well as for the election of Sheriffs.[1][2]
