Newquay

From Conservapedia

Newquay is a town in Cornwall, a county of the United Kingdom. It has a population of around 20,000, increasing seasonally to around 120,000.

Immorality[edit]

Newquay is widely known for it's history of rampart seasonal debauchery, in the UK it is generally considered second only to Blackpool in terms of such behavior, and it is sometimes compared to Magaluf.[1] It is also known for being a destination for school-leavers to engage in underage drinking, as traditionally people would visit to partake in a "fornight of shame" after their GCSEs.[2]

Around 2009, following an incident where two drunk teenagers fell off a cliff and died,[3] Cornwall Council was put under pressure from local community groups to crackdown on nightclubs, fake ID use, and street drinking. The police began to systematically arrest and fine people for drinking in designated alcohol free zones (including the town itself[4]), and for rowdy behavior, and "mankini" costuume and sex toys were banned from public places.[5] This has been followed by an attempt to reinvent Newquay as a wholesome family friendly resort.[6] Along with significant redevelopment of the surrounding area.[7]
