Legislative Supremacy

Legislative supremacy (sometimes called Parliamentary sovereignty or parliamentary supremacy) is the idea that the legislature is "supreme" over the other two branches of government, and even the constitution itself.

Great Britain is one such example where Parliamentary sovereignty is employed.^[1] The UK Parliament only needs a simple majority vote to make changes of a constitutional nature.^[2]

Other nations with established legislative supremacy are Sweden,^[3] Finland, ^[4] and Barbados.^[5]
