Uthgi is a small village of 182 hectares in Soraon Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Uthgi depends on Kodihar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply which is 20.00% of the total supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Uthgi's pin code is 229411[4], and village code is 05387200. The area of Uthgi is segregated as 232 hectares irrigated area, 28 hectares unirrigated area. the 77 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 27 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Uthgi has One public telephone. Uthgi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Uthgi is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2317 and has total administration over 385 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 657 (28.36%) males constitute 345 (14.89%) of the population and females 312 (13.47%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 657 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 576 male, 81 female with 501 (76.26%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 462 males and 39 females. 225 males and 8 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 73 male and 22 female agricultural labor. 156 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kodihar and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
