Concerned Women for America (CWA) is a conservative nonprofit group that "promotes Biblical values and strong families." It has been a leader on social issues in Washington, D.C. since 1979, when it was founded by Christians as part of the opposition to the Equal Rights Amendment.[1][2] CWA was founded by Beverly LaHaye, the wife of Christian pastor and conservative activist Tim LaHaye.
