Generations[edit]

In April 2010, the first generation iPad was released.[1] The second generation iPad (called iPad 2) was released in March 2011.[2] In March 2012, the third generation iPad was released,[3] followed by the fourth generation and first generation iPad mini in November 2012.[4]
