Gosport

From Conservapedia

Gosport is a town in Hampshire, England, located at the head of a peninsula at the mouth of Portsmouth Harbour opposite the city of Portsmouth. Like Portsmouth, it has a long naval heritage. One of its most prominent buildings is the Haslar Royal Naval Hospital, and in the 1860s the Gosport peninsula was isolated by a defensive line of artillery forts to protect the harbour against attack. During the Second World War, Gosport (which, like Portsmouth, was heavily bombed) was home to the Royal Navy's main submarine base, and the town is today home to the Royal Navy Submarine Museum.
