Mikhail Armanovich Margaryan (Russian: Михаил Арманович Маргарян, Միքայել Արմանի Մարգարյան) (born 29 June 2003 in Vanadzor, Armenia), known professionally as Konfuz, is a Russian-Armenian pop and rap singer.
Margaryan was born on 29 June 2003 in Vanadzor (Lori Province, Armenia). When Margaryan was one year old, his family moved to Moscow.[1][2][3][4][5]
From ages 6 to 15, Margaryan played professional football. At the age of 15, he moved to Spain, where he played professionally for FC Barcelona for two months.[2][4]
When Margaryan was little, he learned how to play musical instruments.[3] This is when he started to write his first song.[6]
In January 2020, at the age of 16, he released his first track, "Ути путишка," which was streamed 30 million times.[4] He placed 25th on the charts VK (service) and Boom. Later, he released the songs "Милая малая", "Ламбо", and "Ранила меня".[6]
In March 2020, Margaryan released the track "Кайф ты поймала", which was streamed 150 million times, went 10x platinum, and waiched 40 million times on YouTube. On TikTok, the song was used over 1.1 million times. In 2021 on VK, the song was featured on "Soundtrack of isolation". The song led the networks for the duration of the pandemic.[7][2]
In October 2020, Margaryan released the song "Ламбо", which was streamed 17 million times and went platinum.[8]
In December 2020, Margaryan released the song "Ранила меня", which was streamed 105 million times and was watched 4.5 million times on YouTube.[citation needed]
In 2021, Margaryan released the song "Ратата". The song was watched on YouTube over 45 million times,[9], and was used on TikTok more than 8 million times.[4][6][10]
In 2020, he began studying at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
