Dhanota is a small village of 432 hectares in Shahpura Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dhanota depends on Chomu, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dhanota is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Dhanota's pin code is 303804[4], and village code is 01472600. The area of Dhanota is segregated as 275 hectares irrigated area, 111 hectares unirrigated, remaining 46 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Dhanota has One post office (Dhanota B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Dhanota has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Dhanota is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 5827 and has total administration over 901 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Dhanota has 826 children, 471 boys and 355 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 1766 (30.31%) males constitute 947 (16.25%) of the population and females 819 (14.06%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 137 (2.35%) males constitute 73 (1.25%) of the population and females 64 (1.10%).

According to a census 2011 report, 1961 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1403 male, 558 female with 1666 (84.96%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1209 males and 457 females. 344 males and 365 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 20 male and 13 female agricultural labor. 295 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chomu and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
