Reformed Presbyterian Church - Hanover Presbytery

The Reformed Presbyterian Church-Hanover Presbytery is a conservative American Reformed Denomination.

When the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Evangelical Synod, joined the Presbyterian Church in America in 1983, a group that decided not to go along with the union called themselves the Covenant Presbytery. By 1985, this presbytery had grown to four presbyteries and become the Reformed Presbyterian Church in the United States. In 1990 it changed its name to the RPC in the Americas. Within a year, the four presbyteries of this church were in conflict. One presbytery stood alone as the Hanover Presbytery.

The RPC-HP is generally Orthodox Calvinist in theology, but their polity is almost more congregational than presbyterian. They are, however, sometimes criticized by Orthodox Calvinists for being slightly too liberal on certain issues.
