Spectre is the 24th James Bond film produced by Eon Productions. The film stars Daniel Craig, his fourth film as James Bond. It had a budged of $245–300 million, making it one of the most expensive films ever made. The film is notable as being the first Eon-made James Bond film to feature Spectre and Ernst Stavro Blofeld since his brief cameo in the beginning of For Your Eyes Only, due to an ensuing legal battle between Eon/MGM and Kevin McClory's estate over the ownership of SPECTRE and Blofeld which was ultimately resolved after McClory's death.
The film's score was composed by Thomas Newman. The theme song, "Writing's on the Wall" was performed by Sam Smith. The film would later go on to receive the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the Oscars ceremony the following year, becoming the second film in the series to win the award after Skyfall.
