Russell Fry

From Conservapedia

Russell Fry is a South Carolina legislator who is running, along with 10 other challengers, to unseat Rep. Tom Rice in South Carolina House District 7. The GOP primary is on June 14, 2022.[1] The best conservative candidate in the race is Mark McBride.[2]

Fry, considered to be merely a moderate by local conservatives, voted for a rewriting of the U.S. Constitution by an Article V Convention, misnamed the Convention of States. This "horrible idea," as Justice Scalia called the proposal for an Article V Convention, is overwhelmingly opposed by grassroots conservatives. Fry cast his vote during the passage of this resolution in late March 2022 after he received an endorsement by Donald Trump for the different reason of trying to unseat Rep. Rice.
