Malcolm III 'Canmore' was the son of Duncan I. Exiled to England at an early age following his father's death at the hands of Macbeth. He returned to Scotland in 1057 and, with the support of King Edward the Confessor, king of England, Defeated Macbeth. He also killed Macbeths stepson, Lulach, who had taken his stepfather's throne immediately after Macbeth's death.

Malcolm III then Married St.Margaret (then called Margaret Atheling, Princess of England) and ruled Until his death during a series of raids into England - which had been invaded by William the Conqueror a long time enemy of Malcolm III's wife. [2]
