Malt

From Conservapedia

Malt is a product made from cereal grain (usually barley) via the processes of malting, the sugars from Malt are extracted by sparging to make the wort from which beer is fermented by yeast. First a malt master will germinate dried grain in a large vat by soaking it, rinsing it, and stirring it in a prescribed manner, then drying the resulting grain in a kiln. During this process the enzymes produced by the plant embryo convert the starch within the endosperm to simple sugars. Following this kiln drying process the rootlets are removed from the grain and the final process is shipped to a supplier or a brewery.[1]
