Illinois Pensions

Illinois pensions are in the worst crisis in the Nation, as of 2023.

As explained by the Illinois Policy Institute:

Each Illinois household spent $2,769 funding government pensions in 2021, paying the third most for government workers’ retirements in the U.S. despite leading the nation in pension debt.[1]

Since 2002, Illinois pension debt has grown by a shocking 13% annually, even after adjusted by inflation.
