Pataya is a small village of 219 hectares in Handia Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pataya depends on Phulpur (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Pataya's pin code is 212401[4], and village code is 05560900. The area of Pataya is segregated as 22.291 hectares irrigated area, 34.323 hectares unirrigated area. remaining 164.636 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Pataya has Eight public telephones. Pataya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Pataya is a census village in the district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 2565 and has total administration over 363 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Pataya has 426 children, 215 boys and 211 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 567 (22.11%) males constitute 294 (11.46%) of the population and females 273 (10.64%).

The workforce is 613 male, 266 female with 569 (64.73%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 443 males and 126 females. 182 males and 24 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 145 male and 81 female agricultural labor. 310 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Phulpur (NP) and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
