Vijoy Nagar is a small village of 808.71 hectares in Nancowry Tehsil in Nicobar district in the Union territory of andaman & Nicobar Islands, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Vijoy Nagar depends on Port Blair, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Vijoy Nagar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Vijoy Nagar's pin code is 744302[4], and village code is 00053400. The area of Vijoy Nagar is segregated as the 169.81 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 32.37 hectare area not available for cultivation.
