Golden Globe

From Conservapedia

The Golden Globe award is yet another silly, self-congratulatory prize given by the movie and television industry to typically liberal performers. It usually precedes the Academy Awards.

The annual Golden Globe ceremony is held each year at the Beverly Hills Hotel, which makes it even sillier.

History[edit]

The Golden Globe Awards have been awarded annually to American film actors by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The first awards were given out in 1944. The award ceremony is held in January. The awards are given in 25 motion picture and television categories.[1]

2008 winners include actor Daniel Day-Lewis, for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama in the film There Will Be Blood, and Atonement, which was named Best Motion Picture - Drama.
