Kotri is a small village of 927 hectares in Hindaun Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kotri depends on HINDAUN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kotri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Kotri's pin code is 322234[4], and village code is 01217200. The area of Kotri is segregated as 204.56 hectares irrigated area, 127.88 hectares unirrigated, the 60.49 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 534.11 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Kotri has One post office (Kotri B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Kotri has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Kotri is a census village in the district of Karauli, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2218 and has total administration over 443 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Kotri has 290 children, 164 boys and 126 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 951 (42.88%) males constitute 512 (23.08%) of the population and females 439 (19.79%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 911 (41.07%) males constitute 504 (22.72%) of the population and females 407 (18.35%).

According to a census 2011 report, 1020 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 533 male, 487 female with 492 (48.24%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 328 males and 164 females. 163 males and 139 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 12 male and 10 female agricultural labor. 528 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of HINDAUN and Karauli to sell ghee and make their living.
