Hanoi
Vietnamese name
Vietnamese Hà Nội

Hanoi is the capital and second largest city of Vietnam. It was founded in 1010. Hanoi was the capital of French Indochina in 1902–1939 and again in 1945-1954. It was also the capital of North Vietnam from 1954-1975.

Like many cities in East Asia, Hanoi is a melange of a 3,000 year old culture with a bustling modern city. Ancient art, architecture, and religious works can be seen throughout the city alongside cafés, internet hubs, and sports complexes.
