A bubble is a thin film of liquid around a gas (e.g., a soap bubble) or a globular body of gas in a liquid (e.g., an air bubble in water).[1] As a metaphor, a bubble can mean a fantastic or impracticable idea ("Sorry to burst your bubble, but ...."), an economic bubble, or a place or position that is protected from danger or unpleasant reality (similar to the non-literal meaning of echo chamber).
