Underrated Actors

From Conservapedia
Actor or Actress Achievement Possible reasons for being underrated
Robert Shaw Many riveting performances in blockbuster movies which were also critically acclaimed, including Jaws, The Sting, and A Man for All Seasons, yet only one Oscar nomination and no award. He was an accomplished novelist, publishing The Hiding Place (1960) and The Sun Doctor (1961), which won the Hawthornden Prize in 1962. Lack of connections in Hollywood and also perhaps jealousy because he was a fabulous writer too, who improved on his script for his famous S.S. Indianapolis speech in Jaws.
George Kennedy Won an Oscar early in his career (for Cool Hand Luke), but was subsequently never nominated again despite playing in numerous successful movies. Conservative, and also tall (6'4") which caused the shorter Paul Newman to block him from a future role in one of Newman's movies after Cool Hand Luke.
