Assumption Of The Virgin

The Assumption of the Virgin is official dogma of the Catholic Church declared by Pope Pius XII in 1950 asserting that the Virgin Mary was "assumed into heaven body and soul" at the end of her life. The feast day of the assumption is August 15.
