Puppet

From Conservapedia

A puppet is a hand-made figure resembling an animal or person, that is manipulated by the hand, or with sticks, strings or wires to simulate natural movements.

A puppet that fits over the hand (similar to a glove) is known as a "hand puppet" whereas a puppet manipulated by strings can be known as a "marionette". Puppets manipulated by a single finger are known as "finger puppets" and are popular toys for children. The Television show Fingerbobs is an example of finger puppets.

In politics, a puppet is someone who holds a position of power in a government but acts under the orders of person or group who do not hold a position in the government.
