Social Democratic Party (France)

The Democratic Socialist Movement of France was founded in 1973 by a split from the Socialist Party. Its founders (Max Lejeune, André Santini, Pierre-Cristophe Baguet, Charles Baur) were opposed to the alliance with the Communist Party that had been entered into by François Mitterrand on behalf of the Socialist Party based on the Common Programme.
