Power Electric Vehicles is an Andhra Pradesh-based electric two-wheeler startup best known for its longest-range electric motorcycles. The company aims to accelerate India’s transition to sustainable energy with the launch of its two bike models[1].

History[edit]

Power Electric Vehicles was launched in 2021 by Sameer Reddy, a businessman whose family has been in the automobile industry for more than 15 years[2]. Based in Kakinada, the company aims to create street-smart and futuristic electric motorcycles. The objective behind Power Electric Vehicles is to manufacture an eco-friendly and budget-friendly electric bike that is way better than the traditional bikes and has many additional features with a sporty look[3].

Platform[edit]

Power Electric Vehicles intends to establish outlets across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the first phase. The company later plans to expand its dealership presence across India[4].

Services and products[edit]

Power Electric Vehicles has launched two bike models with different attributes. Its P-Sport electric motorcycle comes with a range of 150 km and 210 km variants. The P-Sport has a top speed of 85 km/h and a battery capacity of 4.3 kWh, which is optimal for the Indian driving conditions[5].

The Power EV 72V – 40/60Ah lithium battery is removable, which takes about three hours to get fully charged. Its battery is equipped with air-cooled technology and also comes with a battery swapping facility[6]. The bike model is offered in three driving modes: Eco, Standard, and Turbo.

Power electric vehicles come with self-diagnosis technology and user-friendly integration. It also has a personalized mobile application to track battery health at all times. The company provides free services for a year and also plans to set up fast charging points in different spots in the city[7].
