She maintains a sizable following on Twitter, where she's known for her vocal opposition to the concept of 'Gender affirming care|gender-affirming care' in children and in her support of others who are seeking help in healing from these life-altering surgeries.

Early Life and Struggles[edit]

Prisha Mosley was born in 1998 in Maryland, and her early life was marked by struggles with mental health.[1] At the age of 14, she endured a traumatic sexual assault, which had a significant impact on her well-being.[2] Her mental health issues became apparent around the age of 13, including anorexia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), borderline personality disorder (BPD), anxiety, and depression. She was known to engage in self-harm, leading to hospitalization during her teenage years.

Gender Transition[edit]

Mosley's gender transition began when she was 15 years old. After engaging in pro-ana internet communities, adults online gave Mosley the idea that she wasn't comfortable in her body because she was born in the wrong body. And that body hair growth, which occurred because she was starving herself, was because she was actually a man. Mosley sought professional help and was quickly approved for medical transition.

Medical Transition[edit]

At the age of 17, Prisha Mosley initiated testosterone injections, aiming to masculinize her body. This decision was made without considering the potential effects on her fertility and overall health. By the time she turned 18, she underwent a double mastectomy to remove both her breasts, commonly referred to as "top surgery."

Detransition[edit]

Years later, Prisha Mosley decided to detransition and return to living as a woman. Mosley has been vocal about the irreversible physical changes from her transition. Such as testosterone causing he face and body to change its bone structure, hair loss, body and facial hair growth, a crushed larynx, a painfully enlarged clitoris, and vaginal atrophy. She is also believes she has lost the ability to conceive children.[3]

Lawsuit[edit]

On July 17, 2023, Prisha Mosley filed a lawsuit in North Carolina's Gaston County Superior Court against healthcare providers involved in her gender transition process. The lawsuit alleges fraud, medical malpractice, infliction of emotional distress, and the use of unfair and deceptive trade practices. It marks the first lawsuit of its kind in North Carolina.[4]

Advocacy and Activism[edit]

Prisha Mosley has become an advocate for individuals who have experienced similar struggles with gender transition and detransition. She has shared her story to raise awareness and promote discussions about the standards of "gender-affirming care." Mosley is determined to pursue justice through the legal system and help others avoid the consequences she faced.

Prisha started a GoFundMe in early 2023 to raise funds for breast reconstruction and laser hair removal in efforts to embrace her femininity again.

Personal Life[edit]

Mosley enjoys gaming, spending time with her boyfriend, and supporting other young men and women who have gone through life-altering surgeries with the hopes of curing their gender dysphoria. She currently resides in Michigan.
