A.A. Milne

Alan Alexander Milne (January 18, 1882 – January 31, 1956), also known by his pen-name A. A. Milne, was an English author, poet and playwright, best known for his children's tales centred in what he called "the 100-acre Wood", which featured a little stuffed bear named Winnie the Pooh.
