Norm

From Conservapedia

A norm is an accepted standard of behavior, whether or not exceptions exist.[1]

In mathematics[edit]

In linear algebra, the norm is the length of a vector, which is calculated by taking the square root of the sum of the squares of the vector's components.

Notes[edit]

  1. Exceptions do not invalidate a norm or the necessity of norms. See Commonweal, a liberal Catholic magazine - quoted by Bill Bennett in The Broken Hearth, Page 198
