1. History has always been one of my favorite subjects, i love learning about all the different types of people and events that took place long ago. Its often said that history is important to know so that in the future we don't make the same mistakes over again. I definitely agree with that statement, many mistakes have been made throughout time and the same mistakes could be made again. Therefore its important to know everything that took place and how it helped or disrupted the environment, that way we do not make the same mistake that someone else had already made hundreds of years ago.

Excellent! (note that before "its" should have an apostrophe, it's.

2. I think that America was definitely right for entering World War II. Once the Attack had been made on American soil, our country had every right to fight back. When the Japanese starting attacking Pearl Harbor President Roosevelt took the proposal of entering the war to the US congress, it was the first war that every congressman but one had agreed to join. I think that, if that many people felt the need to fight back then it was right to enter. America entered the way at a pretty good time in my opinion. If they had waited any longer there is no telling what could have taken place, but i don't think it would have hurt to enter a little bit sooner.

Excellent again.

3. My favorite approach of Immigration would probably be the facilities of Ellis Island. It was founded in 1982 and gave immigrants a chance to enter America but at the same time kept America free from illnesses that could harm others. Those with an illness were either sent back to the own country or held in the facilities hospital for long periods of time. Only about two percent were denied access to the US and were sent back to their own country due to medical issues. Due to that two percent the Island was also known as "The Island of Tears" or "Heartbreak Island".

Superb, and heartbreaking!

4. The roaring twenties was an exciting and very successful time for the US. Many things were invented in the way of entertainment, such as silent movies and jazz music which is still a big hit in todays culture.

Terrific.

5. I have mixed feelings on the "New Deal". I think that it was a good opportunity for the unemployed, but it really didn't help much with the economy. Especially since America was going through a depression at the time. As for the depression, there's really not much you could have done except let it take place for awhile, and eventually the economy would have started to grow again. But FDR should have let the depression take place for awhile and not have rushed into all the multiple decisions he had made.

Right. You support your view well.

6. Yes, I think that America made the right decision by dropping the bombs. Japan was refusing to surrender and the bombs were the only thing that stopped them from continuing on with the war. Unfortunately, many innocent lives were lost with doing so, but many more were being put at risk if the war had continued.

Good.

7. This cartoon I'm assuming was drawn sometime in the 1930's by a Republican who did not agree with the Democratic power in the House and Senate during the terms of FDR. It shows the "shade" of Teddy Roosevelt exclaiming from outside the White House that his "Big Stick" was a mere willow compared to the big sticks of Dictatorial Power that the men from the House and Senate were bringing in.

Excellent, will use as a model answer!
