Garnet

From Conservapedia

Garnet is a hard mineral with a dark red, glassy appearance, used most often as gemstones in jewelry. Less commonly found are garnets of colors other than dark red, including reddish brown, orange and pink. The garnet is the birthstone for January, the official state mineral of Connecticut, and the gemstone of the Tribe of Judah.[1]
